How gratuity is calculated
- Payable after one full year of continuous service
- 21 days of basic salary for each of the first five years
- 30 days of basic salary for each year after five
- Partial years are paid pro rata
- Total gratuity is capped at two years of basic salary
- Calculated on basic salary only, excluding allowances
- Unpaid leave days are excluded from the service period
